SoWork is an AI-powered digital HQ built for remote teams, designed to make distributed work feel cohesive and human, regardless of geography. Despite being a genuine category innovator, SoWork was functionally invisible to the AI engines that increasingly shape how buyers discover software. Technical crawl failures prevented search systems from understanding the site, and the company was appearing in fewer than 1 in 5 relevant AI answers. Without even a Bing Webmaster account, there was no data to act on.

The Ask

Could a technically broken SaaS product compete in AI search against a well-established rival and actually win the direct comparison? SoWork asked iGrow to do three things: fix the technical foundation blocking AI crawlers, dominate high-intent AI queries for virtual office use cases, and become the most-cited alternative to Gather across all major AI systems.

SoWork’s Share of Citations climbed to 27.1%, more than double its main competitor Gather’s share. The technical fixes triggered a citation surge that Bing independently verified at 10,200 references, with Rankscale tracking 10,327 in parallel, giving the team ground-truth confidence in every milestone.
