Junior Sales Rep | Rankscale | Vienna (Hybrid) | Part-time
This is a four-month part-time role with clear continuation intent: if it is a mutual fit, we grow you into a full-time Account Executive owning your own book of business. You will not be cold calling all day, you will be running real product demos with real prospects from week one (after ramp).
About this role
At Rankscale, we are building software to help thousands of brands (such as Bosch, Iberdrola, …) monitor and improve their visibility in AI search engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity.
Inbound requests and demos can be a bottleneck for a growing company. Our founders cannot run every call themselves. We need two sharp German-native students to take ownership of our lower-tier demo pipeline. Qualifying SMB and mid-market prospects, running the demo, handling objections and closing or escalating cleanly.
This is not a setter role. You are on camera, in the call, representing Rankscale to prospects that are evaluating AI Visibility tools.

- Office in the DC Tower (30th floor, 3 stops from Praterstern). Relocating to central Vienna soon
What you will do
- Run product demos for SMB and lower-mid-market prospects globally, including in the DACH region (in German)
- Own discovery, demo and follow-up for your pipeline; close deals or escalate when required
- Learn the product cold. You will be the expert in the room on the call
- Manage your pipeline in our CRM with discipline
- Feed product, marketing and pricing insights back to the team weekly (AI-driven)
- You will report to our CEO Mathias
Requirements
Must-have
- Native German speaker (non-negotiable, DACH is our home market)
- Strong English (clients outside of DACH region & our internal language)
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Confident on video calls: you can hold a conversation and not fold under pushback
- Contagious positive energy: extroverted, lifts the room, makes prospects want to keep talking
- Quick learner: you can absorb a complex product in two weeks (with guidance)
- Available 20-25 hours/week on fixed days, in our Vienna office
Nice-to-have
- Previous sales, BDR, customer-facing, or fundraising experience
- Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity), bonus if you have used them for SEO/marketing work
- Previous startup or scale-up experience
