Summarize with AI

TL;DR. At the Practitioner tier, the report is weekly, 5 rows, 15 minutes to update. Track Visibility Score, Share of Voice, Mentions, Citations, and Rankscale Scout action items with week-over-week delta and a next-action column. The point is not to summarize the week. The point is to surface what changed and what you will do about it.

The template

Update every Monday.

How to read each row

Visibility Score: weighted average across your tracked prompt groups (non-branded). Pull from Rankscale.

Share of Voice: your share of all mentions across tracked prompts, vs top 3–5 competitors.

Mentions and Citations: weekly count, not cumulative. Cumulative numbers hide slowdowns.

Scout action items: Rankscale Scout generates recommendations per prompt variation per engine. Track completed vs open.

The delta rule

Only two columns drive action: the Δ (week-over-week change) and the Next action. If a row has no delta worth discussing and no action to take, it is just noise. Move it to the bi-weekly report for the Marketing Lead.

The 15-minute cadence

Suggested Monday routine:

  1. Open Rankscale, pull this week's numbers (5 minutes).
  2. Fill deltas (2 minutes).
  3. Write next actions, one line per row (5 minutes).
  4. Post the tracker in your team Slack (3 minutes).

Common failure modes

  • Reporting everything weekly. Some metrics (E-E-A-T coverage, entity completeness) do not move week to week. Move them to the bi-weekly or monthly.
  • No owner per next action. Every next-action cell should either name a person or link to a task already in your tracker. Otherwise it evaporates.
  • Copying Rankscale screenshots into the report. Screenshots go stale. The tracker is your working source of truth. Rankscale is the source of data.

Do this now:

Build the 5-row tracker this week. Commit to updating it every Monday for the next 4 Mondays before you judge whether it is useful. Four data points is the minimum to see a trend.
