The four dashboards to set up in Rankscale

TL;DR. Do not build 10 (custom) dashboards. Build four. Funnel Health (intent tag), Niche Dominance (segment tag), Engine Gap (AI engine), Client / Specific Scenario (Niche) Proof (locked long-tail filter). Each has one question it answers. Start with Funnel Health today (click on the tab Custom Dashboards), add the others over the next two weeks.

Dashboard 1: Funnel Health

Filter: intent tag (Information → Consideration → Transaction)
View: Visibility Score across the three phases with non-branded prompts
Question it answers: Where does our funnel leak?
Benchmark: peer median on each intent stage

If Visibility Score is strong at Information but drops at Transaction, your funnel leaks at the decision stage. That is a content gap on transaction-intent prompts, not a visibility problem in general. This dashboard surfaces the difference.

Dashboard 2: Niche Dominance

Filter: segment tag
View: Visibility Score and Share of Citations, one dashboard per priority segment
Question it answers: Are we the category leader in this niche?
Benchmark: are we top 1–3 in SoV (Share of Voice) for this niche

Most brands serve multiple niches. A single averaged Visibility Score hides that you dominate niche A and are invisible in niche B. Build one dashboard per priority segment so the niche-level picture is always one click away.

Dashboard 3: Engine Gap

Filter: AI engine
View: side-by-side ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Claude
Question it answers: Which engine are we strongest or weakest on?
Benchmark: peer median per engine, fix the engine your ICP uses most

Same prompts, different engines, different results. If your ICP lives on ChatGPT and you are strong on Perplexity but weak on ChatGPT, you are winning the wrong engine. This dashboard prioritizes the engine that matters for your buyers.

Dashboard 4: Client / Specific Scenario (Niche) Proof

Filter: locked filter on long-tail prompts
View: before-and-after on specific, high-conversion scenarios
Question it answers: Can I prove the work moved the needle on the scenarios we chose to target?
Benchmark: before and after on the exact scenarios the client or stakeholder cares about

This is the agency trick. Tag long-tail prompts that represent high-conversion scenarios. Share a dashboard with a locked filter so the view always shows those prompts. When the prompts move, the before/after is undeniable.

Order of setup

Set up in this order. Do not skip:

  1. Funnel Health first (today, 5 minutes). This is the one dashboard every GEO team needs regardless of stage.
  2. Engine Gap second (this week). You need a few weeks of data for side-by-side comparisons to be meaningful.
  3. Niche Dominance next (next week). Build one per priority niche.
  4. Client / Specific Scenario (Niche) Proof last (ongoing). Add scenarios as you commit to targeting them.
